Innovation met the future this year at 2019 Hannover Messe in Germany. We’re still brimming with excitement from spending the entire week presenting our digital work instructions software at the biggest trade fair of the year!
In the same way that the VKS software makes capturing tribal knowledge a breeze, so was it exciting to soak up all the knowledge from other pioneers in the various industries across the world. As eager as we were to showcase the VKS app at Hannover Messe, it was also equally as amazing to simply walk around and observe the diverse technological advances being made this year. From the first demonstration of 5G, all the way to real-world robotics presentations and the latest advancements in Industry 4.0, Hannover Messe proved to be a leading-edge event to attend.
While it was VKS’ third year presenting, our Sales & Implementation Specialist, Mathieu Samson, got to experience the event for the very first time. He summarized his experience the best by saying,
“The first time I set foot on the Hanover Fairground, I was immediately blown away by the sheer size of it all. We had to take a long walk, passing by multiple buildings, before we could even get to our own exhibition hall in order to prepare the VKS booth.
However, the magnitude of the event could only be felt the moment visitors began to arrive on the first day. That’s when the event truly came alive as the energy could be felt just by walking down the hallway. Loud and buzzing with people, it was wonderful to see everyone with the same look of amazement on their face.
Seeing all the newest innovations on display really made me appreciate the ways in which technology is evolving. It also highlighted the importance of being aware about how manufacturing is growing and especially, the value that a solutions product such as VKS can contribute in order to stay ahead of the competition.”
In the words of our Director of Sales, Kyle O'Reilly, “It was another successful year at Hannover, Messe! We’re particularly proud to have exhibited as part of the Quebec delegation. It was amazing to see all of the up and coming technologies in the industry!”
Exhibiting as part of the Quebec delegation was also a particular honor as our native province begins to emerge as a leader in innovation. We were particularly honored to have met Pierre Fitzgibbon, the Quebec Minister of Economy and Innovation, along with Pierre Gabriel Côté, the President of Investissement Québec, and Stéphane Dion, the Canadian Ambassador to the EU and Germany.
We’re already looking forward to connecting with everybody next year at HANNOVER MESSE 2020! In the meantime, don’t miss Mathieu Samson’s Review of the mission to Hannover Messe during the first part of the Innovative Manufacturing: The Transition to the Digital Era event at the Grand Quay in Montreal, Quebec, on May 10th 2019.
Can’t wait until then? Then make sure to book a VKS demo with Mathieu straightaway.
