VKS had the opportunity to visit California State University, Fullerton on Friday March, 2 to discuss Industry 4.0 and modern manufacturing with Professor Sagil James and his class of 40 graduate & undergraduate engineering students. Shannon Bennett, our Business Development Manager talked about how tribal knowledge dependency and poor process documentation work together to deliver poor performance outcomes for many manufacturers and how modernizing business processes can help improve those outcomes. The discussion ventured into Industry 4.0 by discussing how modern Manufacturing Execution Systems and applications like VKS can help connect the factory and its workers while providing Engineers real-time insight for faster and more accurate decision making.
"Just want to thank Shannon Bennett for visiting our campus and sharing his knowledge and experience with our students. Our students really enjoyed the talk and have gained more confidence in using VKS."
The Engineering department at Cal State Fullerton is using VKS in their manufacturing engineering & simulation lab thanks to a program developed by VKS to provide universities no cost access to the VKS visual work instruction platform.
We’d like to thank California State University, Professor Sagil and his class of future Manufacturing Engineers for the opportunity to participate in this lively discussion.
